LOWER DIVISION, GENERAL
Students should be able to:
- Identify history as an interpretive account of past supported by evidence
- Apply chronological reasoning
- Understand and pose historical questions
- Identify primary and secondary sources in relation to a historical question
- Undertake basic online/library research and critical reading
UPPER DIVISION, GENERAL
Students should be able to:
- Read, discuss and analyze historiography
- Put primary and secondary sources in dialogue to form an argument
- Identify and practice different forms of historical writing and presentation
- Employ research skills to locate relevant primary and secondary sources
